These two compact discs of Early Days Volume 1 & Latter Days Volume 2 are production test copies from Atlantic Recording Corporations/WEA inc.
Test copies, similar to test pressings for LPs, would be used to sample the recording and make sure sound is appropriate before mass duplication.
