Trampled Under Foot / Black Country Woman (promo)

Promotional
Matrix: DC-1
Origin: United Kingdom
Songs: Trampled Under Foot/Black Country Woman
Label: Swan Song
From the collection of Mark Linchner

This is by far the most common Zep UK single, as 5000 were pressed for a promotional campaign (designed to make sure UK record shops were stocked up with Zep LPs for the period of the Earls Court gigs) that ran from late April ’75 until early May – for every 20 units of Led Zep back catalog (i.e. LZI to Physical Graffiti) that were ordered, a record shop received one copy of the Trampled Underfoot 45, to sell or use as a promotional freebie. The catalog number for the record is only found in the run-outs – “DC-1-A” and “DC-1-B”

Thanks to Nick Anderson, we have included a portion of the DC-1 box these came in.
