Version #1 – Yen 2,500 obi with cut-off tag
Version #2 – Yen 2,500 obi, no cut-off tag

On the back of the obi strip with the cut-off tag, there is a flap of paper at the top which has a dashed line to mark the cutting point, and the paper has a box with the catalog number and yen value plus some empty boxes to be filled in. This was used as proof of purchase to claim promotions, offers, and prizes. Some obi strips don’t have the tag, just a plain join in the paper.
